Tight fit even though a wide shoe

The shoe is a tight fit even though it was advertised as wide. Possibly due to the thickness of the material used, it impacts the foot bed making it firm, a bit too firm in the feet. It's also difficult to zip up. Im hoping it will loosen up soon but with other size 40 naot shoes, I've not had this problem before.
